Then he interviews Mike Quigley. No, Chris. The stakes couldn't be higher for THE NATION!!! I'm fed up. Goodbye MSNBC.

(4,669 posts)Or Senate. They will piss off half of the party perhaps not coming out to vote. If any candidate is so scared of losing they need to get out and campaign more to secure their seat.

(14,367 posts)I'm of the opinion that more Dems and Indies will vote for someone else if he stays in compared to the number that will vote for someone else if he drops out. There are no perfect solutions here. I think a lot of people on DU are insulated by the bubble of this site and do not realize how much damage his debate performance inflicted on a lot of voters.

(4,669 posts)For many years. As State committee person and candidate. You and I disagree how
Dems will react if Biden is off ticket and the following result of that. It wont be a magical unity going into a brokered convention.
Have a good one✌️
LonePirate
(14,367 posts)It is pure fantasy to think someone other than Biden or Harris will be atop the ticket when the convention arrives. No one except a Dem on the fringe would oppose either one at the convention.

(10,333 posts)Because one of the main reasons why many want Biden out is because they think it gives them another chance to get their guy as the nominee.
When they realize that it will be Kamala, they will bitch again about the dastardly DNC depriving their guy of his rightful nomination blah blah blah and we will have 2016 all over again, but much worse.

(4,468 posts)Everyone even THINKING of voting for Biden knows how high the stakes are. If another candidate steps in, we will lose our asses. Check out some history.

Right now my expectations for the media are very low, though my support for Joe is as strong as it has ever been. He doesn't have to prove anything to me, but right now a lot of journalists do.

(53,214 posts)I've been a Biden supporter for over 20 years and always with a very open mind. Meanwhile, I am aware of all he accomplished in a short period of time, quite unlike any president in my lifetime.
Damn, all he wanted to do was serve. I think he left his political ego back in 2016 or so. This is a truly good man with exceptional skills who wants to make the world a better place. And for that, he is getting torn to pieces.
I guess the good guys are only allowed to exist in the movies or an Aaron Sorkin script.
