(5,103 posts)These "journalists" are so arrogant and morally corrupt that they will just throw shit out there to see what sticks. They are encouraged to do so by their bosses. There is no accountability morally or legally.

(85,151 posts)From Biden's perspective as a 2008 candidate, he probably saw Warner as an opponent for a while. Warner was raising money and doing events, but decided to not run.

(60,186 posts)I was with (to drop a name or two) Norm Ornstein and Howard Dean discussing the 2008 race, when Mark Warner's name came up. Warner was making all sorts of exploratory moves, but Norm let on that Warner had a couple of teenage sons that were having some "issues" at the time, and would probably preclude Warner getting too far in any presidential race. As usual for Norm, he was right. He is not nicknamed "Washington's most quoted pundit" for nothing. Norm knows everybody in DC.

(35,075 posts)She has a primetime show and couldn't take 5 seconds to google first before spouting misinformation on her enormous platform?
I don't know what these people are trying to do, but no matter how much spinning for trump that they do, they will be among the first people jailed/silenced/executed if trump gets another shot in the white house. The very first time they step out of line.
They think this is a game. It's not.

Surely someone who ran for President made such an announcement.
Report back and show us how people can avoid embarrassing themselves with 5 seconds of googling.

(35,075 posts)Biden said "he also tried to get the nomination."
Warner had an exploratory committee, did some touring and campaigning nationwide, then realized that he couldn't do it.
What you're not considering is that behind the scenes, amongst Biden's former senate colleagues, the talk regarding who was running and who wasn't was more in your face as opposed to the blurbs that we end up seeing (or not seeing). So it was a nothingburger to us, but a big deal to them.

(3,982 posts)He was correct in a very general way, but Collins was factually specific, and the mob trying to dunk on her are embarrassing themselves.

(35,075 posts)Skimming her profile on xitter and it's back to back negative posts about Biden. SMH. She's not someone who actually cares about facts.

(5,370 posts)"The mob" is behaving exactly as she and her colleagues have, and not just on this occasion. You dish it out, you better be able to take it. If it turns out she cant, too bad for her.
