Replacing Biden with Harris makes no sense.

And I mean that with no disrespect at all towards Madame Vice President, who I like and support and would vote for in a heartbeat.

But it’s entirely superfluous. She’s already the Vice President. She’s at the top of the line of succession. So we’d already know that if God forbid something happens to President Biden in the next four years, she’d be the one to take his place.

We’re already voting for her. Why create needless drama for an already established fact?

An Axios reporter said she has "a lot to answer for," for supporting Biden. Tipped his hand re what the narrative will be. Or how it will start.

But if VP Harris were to take the top spot, she could (probably more effectively) launch the constant batter-ram of aggressive attacks against his lies. Her prior time as a prosecutor and AG more than prepares her to do so. Likewise, ageism is not limited to the attacks on Biden, but also reluctance by many younger voters to show up for non-generational-change candidates. One might assume Harris would be able to address that effectively.

Do I think many Trump--to--Biden independents might be conflicted about voting for Harris? I am not sure how that would shake out but I tend to think those who would not vote for a strong black intelligent WOMAN probably aren't going to vote for Biden either, but rather the racist, misogynistic Trump.

The media doesn't cover Harris and has scarcely done so throughout the past four years. If she were thrust into the Presidential candidacy, they would have little choice but to do so.

That said, I still hope that Biden can remain and turn these MSM-enabled/RW-coordinated attacks on its head. It does feel like we are letting a handful of worried DEMS and even more who are subject to manipulations from others to "throw the baby out with the bathwater" and potentially blow our best chance of defeating this MAGA monstrosity.

I said it in the subject line and throughout the post. It seems we can't even speculate on what is driving others to think differently without being called out ourselves and I am damned tired of it.

Insinuating VP Harris in a liar and part of a “coverup.”

She is going to have to sit down & answer tough questions.

If she becomes the nominee, we’re gonna see a lot more of this.

This was pointed out in a long thread by David Roberts, a former Vox Reporter. l’ll add a couple DU LINKS to his thread.

If you want to make a rhetorical point then make that clear because I am not going to be your target for your frustrations. Otherwise don't post these threads since even a theoretical or hypothetical "devil's advocate-type" response as to why other Dems are doing/saying/thinking as they are is open to attack.

How well has the country done since he has been in office? What has he said or done to give anyone reason to suspect he wouldn't continue the same course if re-elected? Plus--what has Trump said or done to give anyone reason to suspect he wouldn't cause as much damage as he did the first time?

I rest my case.
