Sadly - (and perhaps completely unjustly) - I think a Gaza truce is about a week to 10 day story. (and that might be overselling .. )

Game over? Not by abut a thousand miles.

With all due respect for those that are heavily invested here (and I mean those words sincerely) - I just don't think that sentiment, or anything even close, holds sway with the larger population.

One of those things where I would be absolutely delighted to be proven wrong - and all manner of credit accrue to those deserving ... Fingers crossed - and may it be so!

It is not in Netanyahu's interest. It seems he hoped that Hamas would reject any deal and would get the blame. It is clear the Israeli military is for the ceasefire and the war cabinet unanimously approved it - meaning including Netanyahu. I would not be surprised if Netanyahu wants to push it until the US election, where he very likely hopes Trump will win.

Like the one already agreed to by Netanyahu and Biden.

Hamas is slowly understanding that Israel isn't going to commit to a permanent ceasefire until all the hostages are released.

Can ifnore the details. The smallest thing might be the one to get us across the finish line.
