Former Trump Staffer Shares Texts Revealing Secret PayoffsA.J. Delgado, a former staffer on Trumps 2016 campaign, shared bombshell texts alleging that the campaign settled multiple gender discrimination and sexual harassment lawsuits. The texts, reportedly between Delgado and former Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis, came to light in new filings Delgado made as part of her ongoing discrimination lawsuit.
Jenna, [between] us, do you know of anyone who complained of gender discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, or sexual harassment, in the 2020 campaign? Do you know if the 2020 campaign settled any lawsuits regarding such? texts allegedly from Delgado ask. Yes. Off recordBoris. The campaign settled multiple suits, a text reply allegedly from Ellis reads. Have your investigator subpoena Michael Glassner, the texts advise, apparently referring to the Trump 2020 campaign strategist.

The text exchange follows earlier sworn declarations by Delgado asserting that Trumps 2016 campaign repeatedly used middlemen to send hush money with the direct intention of obscuring discrimination settlements from the public and from the Federal Election Commission.
In other words, the payment would be routed through a middleman, to hide the fact that the Campaign had settled, from the public and the FEC, Delgado stated in her earlier sworn court declaration. I thus have direct, personal experience with the Defendant-Campaign hiding settlement payments to women, routing them through a middleman law firm, which to the public would only appear as payments for legal services. Immediately following the November 2020 election, the Trump campaign paid $4.1 million for legal services, according to The Daily Beast, alongside millions in mysterious legal reimbursements to the campaigns compliance firm, Red Curve Solutions.

Think. Again.
(22,456 posts)...of these campaign finance crimes!
Oh, wait...
bigtree
(94,434 posts)...please post the evidence that DOJ has prosecutable evidence to proceed with charges.
Also, please post evidence of this claim, and proof of every other thing you claim DOJ isn't investigating.
Make sure you include citations of your own personal relationship to DOJ and their investigations.
Thank you.
Think. Again.
(22,456 posts)...if they've refused to investigate?
Obviously, these text messages from 2020 should have kicked off an investigation.
bigtree
(94,434 posts)...nor does DOJ openly share that information.
The ONLY time you'd see it, outside of a leak which is very rare in Garland's DOJ, would be in court filings.
Stop the misinformation about the Biden admin Justice Dept.
Fine time to start campaigining against them. You did know we're trying to elevate this administration, not tear them down with rumor, innuendo, and unsupported accusations?
I can see where you're coming from on this. You took a report about Trump campaign abuses and tried to turn it into a Biden administration fault using nothing but this smear.
No evidence. Just the smear.
Think. Again.
(22,456 posts)It's a good thing merrick garland has been on top of these campaign finance crimes!
Oh, wait...
(Edit to add:
You do know Biden has said he does not inject himself into the DOJ, right?)
bigtree
(94,434 posts)...no one needs this rumormongering, innnuendo bullshit, especially now.
Try focusing on the actual opposition abuses that I posted about the Trump campaign, and stop pretending you know something of relevance, value, or significance to back up the smears on the Biden administration Justice Dept. you used to disrupt this thread about Trump abuses.
Try advocating in favor of this administration instead of coming into the middle of an effort to oppose Trump, trying as you are to focus attention and blame on the people working to hold Trump and others accountable.
You're trolling the Biden administration in a thread that's working to confront the Trump campaign. I'd like to know what you think you're doing here, other than evidence-free bashing of the Biden administration?
Think. Again.
(22,456 posts)...the lack of action I perceive from merrick garland on trump abuses.
But thank you for your input.
bigtree
(94,434 posts)...it's really something to come on to a post shining light on Trump campaign abuses and try to divert from all that with unsupported charges against the Biden administration.
You have no evidence of what you claim. You have no way of knowing anything about the state of DOJ investigations, much less the state of evidence DOJ has on anything they haven't themselves revealed.
This is full of shit, period.
This is an anti-Biden administration screed which comes with zero evidence.
That's what you're using to disrupt this thread. Anti-Biden administration screeds which are unsupported by anything you've posted here other than your own projections.
You made that point in spades, several times.
What's left? Any other unsupported allegations against administration agencies you'd like to use to advocate against the Biden WH on my thread today?
Your choice.
Think. Again.
(22,456 posts)...that many of trump's abuses are being swept under the rug.
That should bother you.
bigtree
(94,434 posts)...and showed zero evidence that they're sweeping ANYTHING under the rug.
You took advocacy against Trump and turned it into advocacy against the administration most people here are trying to reelect.
You took my effort to highlight TRUMP abuses and smeared a Biden administration official using nothing but projection. No proof, just the smear.
What are you actually doing advocating against the administration on a Democratic message board in the heat of a presidential election?
Think. Again.
(22,456 posts)...that Biden has made it very clear from the start that the DOJ is independent from his office.
bigtree
(94,434 posts)...and Merrick Garland was appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the president.
I'd also like to remind you this is a Democratic message board and you are advocating AGAINST a Democratic administration official. The Attorney General isn't separate from the administration. He is part of the president's cabinet.
President Joe Bidens Cabinet includes Vice President Kamala Harris and the heads of the 15 executive departments the Secretaries of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Labor, State, Transportation, Treasury, and Veterans Affairs, and the Attorney General.
Additionally, the Cabinet includes the White House Chief of Staff, the US Ambassador to the United Nations, the Director of National Intelligence, and the US Trade Representative, as well as the heads of the Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Management and Budget, Council of Economic Advisers, Office of Science and Technology Policy, and Small Business Administration.
...any other administration officials or Cabinet you're planning on advocating against on this thread confronting Trump campaign abuses?
Think. Again.
(22,456 posts)....that the people who appear to be helping trump are actually on Biden's side, appears to be yet another way to help trump.
What are you trying to do here?
bigtree
(94,434 posts)...trying as hard as you're able to deflect them back onto the Biden administration.
I'm pointing that out. I'm highlighting the way you haven't bothered to talk about the Trump campaign allegations, at all (don't start now), but have spent every post trying to deflect blame onto a Biden administration Cabinet member without any proof at all about what you're accusing him of.
This is advocacy AGAINST the administration most people are on this message board trying to help reelect. THAT's what I'm doing engaging with your anti-Biden administration posts.
Think. Again.
(22,456 posts)...that amplifying the discussion of trump's abuses is an attempt to deflect from the discussion of trump's abuses.
bigtree
(94,434 posts)...you didn't even discuss the charges, much less characterize them.
You just jumped on this thread and blamed Merrick Garland's DOJ without a shred of proof of what you accused DOJ of, without so much as one sentence outlining just what DOJ was supposed to have neglected.
You have zero proof of anything DOJ is or isn't investigating outside of their OWN court filings or statements, and you've presented zero proof on this thread for your accusations.
You're deflecting from court testimony (JUST REVEALED) outlining Trump abuses to accuse Merrick Garland's DOJ of neglecting something that you haven't yet identified; just the sophistry and innuendo.
It's really a remarkable attack on the Biden administration at a critical point in the election. Just stunning how you keep defending it.
Think. Again.
