Why have Trump and the Republicans been so uncharacteristically quiet about Biden question?

It does seem that it is mostly Democrats asking for Biden to step down?

Is it because they don't want to interfere with their enemy when they are destroying themselves?

Or is it that they see the danger for themselves?

Is it that they are afraid people may start to ask why Trump doesn't step down?

As Earl G so brilliantly stated in an earlier post about what to say if asked about why Biden doesn't step down, “I think Donald Trump should drop out of the race.”

If Joe Biden can be asked by some in his Party to drop out of the race, then surely a convicted felon can be asked to drop out?

Is that really why they are being so coy and quiet about the question being asked to Joe Biden?

Yeah, criticize! It's a tinfoil hat, as I said, but it has me wondering.

Donald Trump has the numbers/contact of every billionaire who owns mainstream media outlets. Has he asked them to push Biden out of the race? It's a win-win for the media and Donald. They get ratings (all they care about), and Donald gets "Dems in Disarray" and a candidate who has never beat him and likely won't.

I agree. That makes perfect sense: Repugs ARE pushing to have Biden step down - but through Big Media $urrogates (and the press-titutes that go along).

This way, they hope to get Biden to give up - thus next-to-guaranteeing a Trump win, while looking as though they're above the fray. Even magnanimous (which, as you know, they don't have a bone of in their body).

Throw the rock - but hide the hand. A Repug specialty.

From their perspective, if your enemy is destroying itself, don't interfere, and be grateful that your own guy's actual shortcomings are being ignored.

I'm sure there is a big sigh of relief on their side as they don't have to watch Trump's bizarre, incoherent ramblings on television every day. For them, they must constantly live in dread of the next shoe falling.

Their goal is power and money and they believe Trump is the one who can get it for them.
Also they are guilty of crimes like Trump is, and he offers protection, at least they hope.
Trump protects himself.

Oh yes the trolls and bots are interesting.
I have been noticing them across various liberal/Dem online boards.

They are all the same right now.
Pretending to deliver a liberal message, but actually quite angry and divisive.
I think they are young, and know little about Dems.

One stated that no one knows who (pulitzer prize) Eugene Robinson is.
It was a fake name. And that New Hampshire was a red state.

The reaction is interesting. Some Dems recognize right away who they are.
And tell them to eff off. Others love them.

If he backs out, on his own, I feel that the Dems will rally around Kamala. That will also put the media spotlight on the groundbreaking candidate and at least for awhile will be a net positive.
I honestly don’t get the anxiety many have about the possibility of Biden backing out. Especially if he can convince people that it is his decision, and he wasn’t pushed out.
Unfortunately that scenario is becoming more unlikely every day. He is digging in more and more.
The only guarantee is that each and every stumble by Biden will now be the spotlight, and that helps Trump.

A shiny new Dem candidate will not have Biden's age issues or whatever else they're trying to pin on him - like the border.
The new Dem candidate can run on the positive things Biden & Democrats have done and they've got all of Trump's baggage to use against Trump.
The GOP smear machine has spent 4 years smearing Biden. All of a sudden, they have to come up with a completely new strategy of smearing? I'm sure they will but they know it will be a lot tougher and their candidate becomes the one with all the ugly baggage.

That is probably why they're cooling it in my opinion. They want Biden to stay in the race.

Why cast aspersions on Biden when the blowback for trDUMP could be catastrophic.

Let team trDUMP take a back seat to the Biden is old, frail, and incoherent.

Let the Main Stream Media relentlessly pound and pound away at those issues. trDUMP plants the seeds of questioning Biden's fitness as president. Then team trDUMP walks away unscathed - as the MSM gabs hold of the mantle while tossing Biden into the wood chipper - grinding his political ambitions up into red slushy ground up rancid meat.

The AmeriKKKan Oligarchs own the U.S. MSM,.. they are using the MSM to torpedo Biden's chances for a second term. What a fucking propaganda machine they have craftly constructed.

These Hyper-Capitalists crave a Fascist Theocratic state of governance so they can maximize their ability to profit off of and plunder the United States Treasury.

Fuck American Democracy, fuck consensus of opinions, fuck congressional debate, fuck collaboration..... fuck compromise... fuck freedom.... fuck your ideas...
on and on and on..... THEY WANT IT ALL FOR THEMSELVES ALONE.

Fuck you, fuck me, fuck all of us - these Nazis mean business in their relentless grab for total power. Negotiating and compromising with pinko liberals infuriates them to no end. If you are not a fully compliant Nazi - then you will be rid from the political system henceforth, forcibly or otherwise,... your choice.

I don't see union members, women's groups or civil rights organizations demanding Joe quit the race. This entire effort has been spearheaded by Republicans, using corporate media as their blunt instrument, to take down a president who won't go along with cuts to a wide range of federal programs and deficit-exploding tax giveaways for the rich.

Why should they spend ANY energy/money/effort on this while the press and several prominent Democrats are doing their work for them?

They can always decide to end their free vacation when our „loyal“ internal opposition quiets down (or, God forbid, is successful in their efforts). A victory margin of 8 million votes is quite a lead to blow (and no, I haven‘t forgotten the EC), especially with Joe Biden‘s stellar performance record in office, an advantage he didn‘t have last time.

Fox has all sorts of articles and news clips about Biden dropping out

Recent golf course interviews with Trump have him calling Biden disgusting and rude names then following it up with saying Biden is going to drop out.

The topic has been on every right wing media platform available AND on so called mainstream outlets AND on so called left wing platforms. It has been everywhere including the right wing.

This is what's called a media frenzy. You know it is because most all media platforms are talking about this. If it was a grassroots Dem driven issue, Dems wouldn't have waited 4 months before the election to take action to get someone else.

The stupidly poorly paid Russian trolls are spreading it. The Russian bots are spewing it all over Twitter and any right-winger asked say that Biden is stepping down.

Just because some Dems got manipulated by this media frenzy too does not make it a Dem issue. People are easily manipulated. It works that's why they do it.

It's all one big con.
