I remember this well. I purposely did not listen to the Sunday morning talk shows.
Instead I am watching old Star Wars Voyager reruns.

(38,859 posts)On the car radio I tuned to the local pbs station:Dem leaders increasingly concerned
I switched to the local News and info station: after his disastrous debate performance
I switched to Bloomberg radio: more of the same
I finally switched to a music station.
These were on as I switched (not after I had been listening awhile) so obviously they are repeating this all day long.
After returning home and going to sleep, I woke up and turned on CNN to help fall back to sleep (MSNBCs all-nite murder stories dont help with that). Guess what story was playing as I turned it on?

(14,619 posts)Everyone knows what Donald Trump is... that is not news. His daily crazy has become routine and not news.
BUT... if they could railroad one of the candidates out of the race...THAT would be huge. Especially if it is the decent human being, the great president, and not the abject shitheel.
If the good man is forced out by his own party with an assist from the press, that becomes an even bigger story.
That is the perfect storm "Democrats in disarray" story: infighting, a messy convention, and the possible loss of Democracy at the hands of a feckless electorate that follows the constant drumbeat of "We want something else."
Democrats have got to start playing the long game and stop taking the bait.
Joe Biden is not some worn-out old shoe to be tossed aside because you want new sneakers. Beware those new sneakers, they may require a lot of breaking in and we don't have time for that,

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
