Constantly running pieces about why Biden should quit, often quoting anonymous supposed insiders.
I used to like his site.

(5,472 posts)He just runs out one anti-Biden article after another. He's obviously relitigating some past grievance IMO. His milquetoast background doesn't scream "Sanders supporter," so I have no idea who his preferred choice was in 2020, but it sure wasn't Biden. My bet is that Biden encountered him in person when Goddard was an aide and committed some alleged diss, and now it's time to pay the piper. The real shame is that the site's value has never been the boring Goddard, but the commenters, and the site's current direction is driving a lot of smart contributors away.

(5,472 posts)With a very left-leaning commentariat. It's a pretty significant site.

(96,882 posts)Political Wire is officially non-partisan. Goddard described his website as "a place where you want to start your day and then return various times a day to find out what's going on in the world of politics... the people who read Political Wire tend to be the political insiders and political junkies, the lawmakers and their staffs, journalists, and people who make a living in the world of public affairs." It is a subscription service with a nominal fee for membership.
By 2016, it was attracting upwards of ten million readers per month. Goddard told Fishbowl DC that people sometimes get confused by his politics because he's fiercely independent in his views and "not a joiner by nature."

(96,882 posts)POLITICAL WIRE is a news aggregator focusing on politics. It doesn't take a pro- or anti- position on either Party.
