When the French polls closed, @FRANCE24 apparently thought a Le Pen win was a given.....

and had a graphic showing them winning almost half the seats. Their slice didn't match up with the actual numbers.

Final result, or are you saying no one could possibly predict the outcome.


Seems like Macron had a good idea how it would go, but I have not really been following the drama.

So far only exit polls, but polls closed at 8.
The center left alliance consists of 5 parties, so this will take time to resolve. But at least they have held off Rallye National the hard right party of lePen and Bardella. Actual numbers perhaps later tonight. ( Following on BBC)

I was merely trying to pass on more info. re the French elections. One French official said he wouldn't comment until final results were in....this was 10 min. or so
before I commented. ( I respect your more recent info. - just think we might all want to be a bit more civil.) Thx.
