An extremely high-ranking official...

...who must be totally trustworthy because even though their job explicitly states that they can NOT speak about this but they are speaking about this as long as I don't tell you their name told me that the heritage foundation wants trump to withdraw from the race because it's "concerning".

Is that a NYT's source?

No, no, no. It's not anti-Biden, so it's obviously from another disreputable rag.

To make way for their fascist front. Vance, Ryan, Deathsantis are front runners I bet.

Time to coalesce the country around the Save Democracy from the fascists of Project 2025.

I took a cruze this weekend from Lake Michigan to the Mississippi....5 signs in support of trump, no more. He's losing again, and they have come this far, spent THIS much, and have this Supreme Court that will give our country away to the King.

The battle has just began, keep talking to the nutty neighbors and tell welcome to the battle for our Democracy, we need all hands on deck against the fascists.

Leonard Leo pick. Anti-tsf cred enough to still get red hat votes and "moderate" repubs. Wall Street money would flow like Niagara Falls on viagra.

And you know what? Even if the Heritage Foundation or some other wrong-wing outfit DIDN'T say any such thing, why not spread it around, anyway? Destabilize the enemy. By any whispered means necessary.

I don’t believe it. They were stupid to not nominate someone else but they think rabid turnout by their base will win? Or are they just afraid of the base. The base is obviously the problem.

Maybe their high-end donors have discontinued their sustaining contributions.

Just a thought.

Why else would they tell Biden to withdraw?

They don't seem particularly concerned about the electability of a replacement candidate. They also give lame reasons too. (They don't wanna say, "My donors are bailing are out on me".)

I don't know how federal contributions work, but in Texas campaign cash is used for much more than campaigns. Much of the cash is used for maintaining a second residence in Austin.

Or on election day, I'm all for that also.
