From the mountaintops that Biden is practically brain dead for a long time apparently. A lot of the media was repeating this. I heard some people saying this and I just thought it was because of Fox News and laughed it off. Then Biden had that bad debate performance which fed into this huge media extravaganza. I admit that I have been shocked by this because i tend to only listen to MSNBC or other more liberal sources. I did not know how widespread this “Joe Biden cannot function” sentiment was. I begged everyone to watch the debate because I thought 100% that they would be proven wrong. It didn’t turn out that way. Being almost 70, I think Joe has his “senior moments” like I do at times. He has a hell of a lot of competent people around him that can pick up the slack if needed and things have been going well so I believe things will be just fine but unfortunately a lot of other people don’t believe it.

he is a convicted felon, he was found liable for SA, he has more criminal cases pending, he's a horrible person. FFS why is it a debate? Biden is.......old but still seems to be more active and functional than your average 80- year old. Anybody could have a bad debate (performance). So did Obama in 2012 and people were trying to get him to step down after the 2010 midterms and replace him with Hillary Clinton. Yet he went on to win comfortably. Even George W. Bush fumbled at his debate(s) in 2004 and still won.

Within the context of what Schiff was actually trying to say ... Which was that Biden has been an exemplary president and leader in every respect - with the only mark against him being his age. The right and their media minions have been hammering the 'sleepy Joe', halting, unsteady, barely functional thing for literally months now (long, long before the debate) .. and have made inroads there. And finally - all other things being equal (which of course they are not) Trump-Biden shouldn't even be a contest.

Adam Schiff is not at all a dumb guy - and he is clearly behind the president.
