Whereas we would all love to hear he has had a massive medical incident that has left him with the communicative abilities of a jar of grape jelly, we cant discount that some sly Republican handlers are just keeping him holed up somewhere, frustrated because he cant go out and get some fresh publicity, but all the time training him for his big triumphant acceptance speech at the Republican convention.
Sure, the speech will be full of lies and the same incoherent nonsense were used to. But if they are delivered in a strong, confident tone, THAT is what the media will report. They, and 99% of Republican voters, will ignore the content as they did with the debate. He could read listings from an extensive Chinese restaurant menu, and the reaction would be no different. All he has to say is sleepy Joe and not even Van Jones will bother to remark that the rest of the segment questioned the virtues of substituting chicken for pork in your moo shu pancakes.
I would MUCH rather hear that Trump is in some secret clinic where the best medical minds are being tasked with trying to revive the grape jelly. We must, however, be prepared for the possibility that while most Republican strategists are evil, not all of them are stupid. We may not like the reason for his absence, and would be well advised to prepare for Mr. Brain-cement to deliver his nonsense with brash confidence that will leave his adoring crowd cheering wildly. It wont matter to them that they havent understood a word he said. Most of them know that Shakespeare is classic literature, and they dont understand a word of that, either. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

While fact and truths that are spoken by a true patriot are ignored and bombarded by age where the gaslighting and lies are thrust upon.

(11,780 posts)Or we just landed on Mars for the first time I swear the applause is so over the top, his handlers know he needs that like a line of adderal. Its all so phony, thats probably why they wont let the press cover it. Therell be some carefully scripted shots.

I dont believe that theres any amount of training (if thats even possible with Trump) or old man arm & nose cocktails that will allow Trump to live up to the expectations for his performance now set by President Bidens vigorous rebounding post-debate.
Although, the media will never let us see what were seeing with our own eyes. They have their narrative and well all be damned if theyre going to change it.

(36,508 posts)of MSNBC, I haven't heard any questions about the whereabouts of Trump. Imagine the questions and rumors if Biden
dropped out of sight for 24 hours. I haven't heard one word about the Trump/Epstein pedophile papers either.
Self Esteem
(1,428 posts)Trump could never be seen in-person again and the media wouldn't question where he is because they'd be too focused on asking if Joe Biden, who just wrapped up his fifth rally in three days, is fit to run for reelection as they interview some random Boise councilmember who says he should step aside.
For once, maybe ever, Trump's campaign is actually playing this one smart. Why risk drawing attention away from Biden when you know the media is set to focus on him no matter what?

The media will be right there with them. Mainstream as well as RW media will say, "There you have it, folks. President Trump just gave a strong, confident speech to roaring applause. There is no doubt that his party is 100% behind him. What a contrast to the Democratic Party's disarray."
