Spectrum Internet out all over Texas

It's been out for 2 hrs. I'm on my phone. It's all over the state. Everything is dead, even their customer service

https://www.mysanantonio.com/news/local/article/spectrum-outage-san-antonio-19563385.php

Service was restored for me around 7:30 pm. A cable was severed between Austin and Dallas. Backup hub was in Houston, but that wasn't an option due to Beryl. Everyone had to wait until the cable was repaired.

Bexar County was on partial shutdown because all the phone and internet services are on Spectrum.

I'm not in Texas, but that company blows so bad. They had a cable monopoly in my community for decades. Now that there is competition, they are scrambling for customers, even going door to door to try to sell their crap services.

Peace

That was yesterday. Power was restored to much of that area earlier today.

I think they would not have a hub in the Houston area for that reason. But who knows?

An IT person on Reddit got a message that there was overheating at a data center.

Rumors are swirling. Another is that an undersea cable was damaged. Another was that major cable was damaged in North Texas.

Cable was finally repaired. Service for me was restored around 7:30 pm.
