If the man had thoughts he would address them directly with Biden. He wouldn’t pull a round about attack via Clooney.

who at this point do not support President Biden. Not talking about it won't change a thing.
And Clooney and Obama are close pals, thus the FAIR question.

Obama Didn’t Push Back on George Clooney
July 11, 2024 at 6:23 am EDT By Taegan Goddard

Playbook: “Before Hollywood icon and Democratic donor George Clooney published his buzzy and brutal NYT op-ed yesterday calling on Biden to step aide as the nominee, we’re told he reached out to former President Barack Obama to give him a heads-up. The two men, who are friendly, both attended the L.A. fundraiser Clooney referenced in his piece, where the actor said he’d beheld a diminished Biden and that the leader he interacted with was ‘the same man we all witnessed at the debate.’”

Morning Joe. I was somewhat stunned. She did it rather coyly and she and one of the panel were laughing at times. It's one thing to strongly support Joe Biden publicly, which she has done.
It's quite another to blithely suggest someone else was behind Clooney's NYT letter, especially Barack Obama.
It seems to me that if Obama felt that way he'd speak to Joe privately and
it would have been just between the 2 men.

It was a hell of a thing for her to say. Maybe she just threw it out there half in jest.? Odd...

So obviously yes. Why three weeks later he's decided to raise the white flag and try a path that insures Trump wins is his own opinion. Personally I think he should try to revive his flagging film career instead.

Did Barack Obama endorse George Clooney's brutal op-ed
Barack Obama and George Clooney were in touch before the actor wrote his brutal NYT op-ed calling on Biden to step aside. And while Obama didn't encourage or advise Clooney to say what he said, he didn't object to it either.45 mins ago

Obama didn't get to be POTUS by being dumb. He'd know better to leave fingerprints on something like that. He knew what George was going to do and didn't stop him because he can play both sides if he needs to.

As much as I like Joe, he didn't survive fifty years in it being nice itself. It's a brutal game.
