Those Americans that trust Putin and Russia are a threat to our country. Perhaps they are just naive or perhaps they believe the lies of their leaders? Either way, they cannot be trusted to protect our country and our Constitution.
As we all must know by now, Donald Trump loves Vladimir Putin. He wants America to be like Russia and Hungary. He calls America a "Third World" country. He sees nothing good about America. Donald Trump, like Putin, cannot be trusted. True Americans know that.

(44,798 posts)Anybody who loves Putin also hates the United States. Its just that simple. Russian government hates us because our democracy is successful and they cant pull that off. Plus, Putin wants to hold onto his wealth and acquire more. He also hates democracy, just like Trump and the rest of the Republican party

(10,297 posts)Century. Putin sees true representative democracy as a threat to the existence of the Russian Federation, which is why hes supporting organizations and American politicians that seek to undermine ours. Sadly, hes found good pickings in the Republican Party and in the reactionary so-called Conservative Movement.

The Magistrate
(96,043 posts)In the 19th century, Czarist Russia played godfather to European reactionaries in the wake of the '48 risings. The Czars hunted Russian dissidents who had fled abroad, particularly if they openly opposed the Czar in their new homes. This was so obvious as to make its way into popular culture: it is the theme of a Sherlock Holmes adventure.
Now that Russian government has reverted to Czarist form, its security services, mostly staffed by former Soviet apparatchiks or their direct heirs, seem to have realized you don't get very much by way of real damage to another country by gaining some degree of control over its domestic left, but that a country's domestic right can readily be led to harm its own land.
Sort of a 'Fascist International' backing reactionary, racist elements wherever they can be found.
Sometimes the old ways do prove best....
