How Influencers control us.

I think it's important to recognize the standard selling practice of using FEAR to gain control of your behavior. You can easily see this if you watch enough YouTube, for you see these commercials which follow a standard script which always includes some degree of fear.

1) the problem they are selling to fix: FEAR of it.
2) their solution for your problem: their product.
3) the "fact" that their solution is going to disappear goodness knows when because: a) the powers that be have already previously tried to get rid of the product; or, b) they don't know how long they can offer the product at their current "discount." No matter how illogical it is, this last part is very important to the pitch, because their great product, essential to your future comfort and happiness, is undoubtedly going to disappear from your grasp. Get it while it's hot!

So, I was thinking about why Trump would distance himself from Project 2025 by saying, well, some things are good, and some things are horrible. That's a way to threaten us, you know, have your "distance" but also your threat, the fear factor that you want to use to threaten people into submission.

I would think that using Project 2025 to threaten us would backfire on them, but for some it is the same as say, threatening horrible consequences if you don't comply. "My goon is gonna break both your knee caps if you don't pay up!" "If you don't pay up to NATO, we won't protect you!"

Fearmongering is time trued as a technique that works well at many levels. Some fearmongering is justified. "Read the document Project 2025. See what Trump plans to do to us!" Is this fearmongering on our part, or a warning based on truth? So, for one party, it is a warning, but for the other guy, it is a threat. Who gets more mileage out of it?

We must prevail. We cannot let this guy get back into office. A MASSIVE GOTV is necessary as a foundation to counter the shittiness of Donald Trump. We might even find ourselves in physical conflict. It won't be over on election night. We must go on a little further into 2025 to kick Trump to the curb. If we get lucky, maybe somehow the rat weasel will be in jail.

GOTV! Biden/Harris 2024. Make election day your own special holiday. "We're going to fight, and we're going to win!"

Then you usually get a different ad that has a five second skip button. I never see enough of an ad to be 'influenced'.

Ads on other sites either have a means to mute them or I mute the computer audio completely. I focus my eyes on the countdown for the end of the ad (mostly on the solitaire game).
