"I love my staff, but they add things."

When a reporter asked Biden about the supposed schedule change to curtail events after 8 PM so Biden could get better rest, he flat out said, "that's not true."

1). This confirms something many here have suspected since after the debate — many stories coming from "anonymous insiders" should be taken with the tiniest grain of salt. So, that story about the "dozens of Dems" who are reportedly getting ready to call on Biden to step aside over the next few days? I would wait until tomorrow to see if that has any real chance of actualizing.

2.) "I love my staff, but they add things" — quoted by Biden after he debunked the reporting of the 8 PM curfew. If his staff is relaying false information to reporters without his knowledge, they need to be fired immediately. He said that he loves them, and I don't doubt it, but they should be reprimanded to the most appropriate degree when they lie about the President. What the fuck was his staff thinking? Do they WANT the media to go after Biden? Why the hell are they making up shit about him and remaining employed? If he knows who's spreading bullshit and gossip to the press, he absolutely needs to fire their asses. They aren't helping him whatsoever and just fuel the media spectacle.

I don't like playing "backseat driver", but I'm going to here: Biden needs to discipline his staff when they "add things" that are not true to official reports. Is his staff full of clueless morons?

unless it's to convey information specifically reviewed for accuracy by Biden himself, and with his permission. Anybody who leaks anything gets sacked.

10. Isn't it Biden's Chief of Staff's role to do what you suggest?

That's currently Jeff Zients.

Here's the role he's supposed to play:

* Selecting senior White House staffers and supervising their offices' activities;
* Managing and designing the overall structure of the White House staff system;
* Control the flow of people into the Oval Office;
* Manage the flow of information to and decisions from the Resolute Desk (with the White House staff secretary);
* Directing, managing and overseeing all policy development;
* Protecting the political interests of the president;
* Negotiating legislation and appropriating funds with United States Congress leaders, Cabinet secretaries, and extra-governmental political groups to implement the president's agenda; and
* Advise on any and usually various issues set by the president.

These responsibilities have recently extended to firing of senior staff members. ...

I have no problem with that....

I'm 20 years younger than President Biden,
but I'm certainly pretty tired by 8 pm,
if I was up at 6 am and haven't slept all day...

It would not mean that he was going to bed at 8 pm....

blah.

Can't recall if it was here but it had a photo of his WH staff all seated around a big table and, I swear, nobody looked older than 30. I've seen the same with some who look like they've taken it upon themselves to "handle" the President, shooing away people who approach to talk which is a big mistake because Joe is so good one on one and talking face to face. They think they know what's best and they do not! I feel like they have decided he's too old and needs to be controlled and like all 30 somethings, they think they know everything.
