How about a Rally for the President?

I am only floating this here and have no way to make it happen. But wouldn't it be a powerful statement if hundreds of thousands of people went to DC to support our president and democracy? I think it could happen. I'd rather do it this way this time rather than as a protest after a second Trump victory. If they build it, I will come.

the Rev would know what to do! Does anyone have his ear, or know someone in the National Action Network? I'm 4 hours from there, and I'd go in a heartbeat!

I am as unconnected as they come. I am on vacation next week (I know, but my family has not had a vacation in a couple of years), and when I come back, I'll try to muster the nerve to start sending emails. I don't have any leads though.

It would be good if this can be pulled off before the National Convention in Chicago.

It would sure put a damper on all the talk of House & Senate Dems wanting Biden to step down.

Whether it happens in one place like DC or whether there would be thousands of rallies of Biden supporters/voters - all around the country - the effect would be the same.

In fact I might support thousands of Biden rallies around the country - because then the local news organizations in these cities would be covering these rallies and reporting locally. Such coverage would further rally the voters in those cities as they see how much support Biden has in their own backyard.

We need to get the word out and maybe this could stimulate Dem backed organizations around the country get involved and pick a date and plan these rallies.

List your ideas here in this post as to how such nationwide rallies for Biden can be pulled off. What organizations in cities would make sense to get involved in the organization? Is there a date that has some sort of historical significance that can be targeted for these rallies?
