I am not saying I am an expert in anything about running this country, but I have some ideas I think might help, and want you all to chime in. If President Biden and/or any of his administration read DU posts, please read this
..(again, these are my opinions)
1. When doing interviews, campaign stops, etc., maybe say my administration and I are working on
, Ive met with my administration on this and WE are working out
.
This will show to the media, nay sayers, the world, that President Biden is not alone in his job, that he has many top professional, brilliant people working with him, and his age is meaningless.
2. Do some more townhall style meetings, no moderators. No reporters, just voters, President Biden and some administration to answer questions on social security, Medicare, TSA, Project 2025, Trump, etc. Not that President Biden cant handle it alone, but having the head of TSA or Sec of Education, etc can help with specific aspects.
If anyone thinks of other things to give Trump the boot and President Biden the Oval Office for the next 4 years, give a shout.

(12,011 posts)I think he would be smart to elevate Harris and talk her up more, give her more visibility, etc. Kamala being more visible and hopefully becoming more popular would be a win-win, IMO: if Biden does step aside, she starts off stronger, and if he doesn't, making people more comfortable with her will hopefully reassure people that we are in good hands if g-d forbid Biden's health does prevent him from finishing his second term. She could provide reassurance on the ticket for him the same way he did for Obama in 2008, albeit for opposite reasons (i.e. reassuring those concerned about Obama's lack of experience that he had an old steady hand to govern with him).

(442 posts)The problem is there are slightly less than 4 months until the election. The DNC will be happening soon and delegates still vote at the convention. Plus to get on the Ohio ballot, the nominee must have won 90 days before Election Day. Will all the delegates vote for the VP.? Way too many democrats including me will not tolerate having our nominee railroaded into quitting.
