General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI just heard Facebook is taking down posts about Project 2025 under the guise of fact-checking.
The perfect storm:
The Supreme Court, The Republican Party, many billionaires, and now social media through Mark Zukerberg (Media Platforms), have all folded, trashed any sense of principle, and are paving Trump's way to the WH.

(18,825 posts)They took 3 of mine off since yesterday. All had Project 2025 in the title. My sister also. Other friends have complained of the same.
Were altering the titles slightly and reposting. Maybe that will slow them down.

(3,092 posts)titles to avoid detection will get your account locked out, and it's difficult to avoid because someone, possibly even one of your friends you trust, will report it. Sometimes for a day, sometimes a lot longer. Ask me how I know.
I ditched that platform years ago and refuse to use it again.

(3,453 posts)I posted about it when it happened. Trying to get a thread going about Project 2025.

There is a copy of the report and opposition report in the thread.

This thread has a lot of useful information.
I just read today in article from Columbus OH about the universal school and it is straight from project 2025. They are already implementing them. This needs to be the focus and the one for the win. Quit the hand wringing over Biden, he will be okay. This clammering is cover up this project 2025.

(1,828 posts)It was the one with the list of issues in 2025. They claimed the list was not completely correct. Never said which on was not correct though.

(3,453 posts)This is the actual proposed cuts. They did not list in the Project 2025 report, probably because they do not want veterans to know what they are planning. They have stated that they are going to make it harder to get the benefits. Those benefits that were worked and hard earned for as well as high personal costs. While most of them never served.
Income Security
Eliminate concurrent receipt of retirement pay and disability compensation for veteran
- $160,000 M
Veteran's Benefits and Services
End enrollment in VA medical care for veterans in priority groups 7 & 8

Narrow eligibility for veterans disability by excluding disabilities unrelated to miltary duties - $37,000 M

(19,502 posts)I'm guessing it meant "sections from Project 2025," FB claiming " for fact checking," because misinformation could "unfairly" damage Trump.

(3,453 posts)The post about the proposed miltary benefits cut was marked as false because it didn't show context. It was the actual proposed cuts they want but not acutally listed in the report just some vague refference. Don"t believe for one second they are not going to implement them. And they have stated that they are going to make it harder to get the benefits that were worked and hard earned as well as high personal costs. While most of them never served or had family members serve. They do not actually thank them for their service.

(7,591 posts)republicans think our active service members, veterans, and war dead are all "suckers and losers."
Meanwhile, the republicans go to their knees to meekly follow a draft dodger, who is also a convicted rapist and felon.

(8,818 posts)I searched, What is Project 2025 and got this answer::
Project 2025 is a bit of a vague term, so I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to. There are many projects and initiatives across various industries and fields that may have a 2025 goal or deadline.
Could you please provide more context or information about the Project 2025 you're interested in? I'll do my best to provide more details or point you in the right direction!

(3,453 posts)This is the right wing propaganda that they are using for fact checking. They are just to make sure that the facts are hidden. Any statements from them should be disregarded. They should be banned from Facebook.
The Dispatch in 2019 as a digital media company with three primary products: a website, newsletters, and podcasts. The goal was to create a place where thoughtful readers can come for conservative, fact-based news and commentary that doesnt come either through the filter of the mainstream media or the increasingly boosterish media on the right. Importantly, we wanted to build a genuine community, with regular engagement between those of us who work here and the readers and listeners who pay our salaries.
