Right after President Biden's rally in Michigan Chris Hayes and Joy Reid were commenting. Joy Reid seemed to be

really enthusiastic about the rally and President Biden's presentation, while Hayes seemed noticeably subdued.

For me that contrast between those two hosts was noticeable

Joy seems to have far better political instincts than Chris Hayes. He still has some pretty good guests on his program.

I can only hope Chris will think about it a little and modify his views toward Biden a bit. Again, that looks doubtful.

I think we should call or e-mail MSNBC to ask when Chris will take a cognitive ability test and if he is going to resign for not being cognitively qualified.

And that is putting it mildly. She was sparkling. Happy that Biden put on such a rousing rally. I couldn’t help but be joyous myself. Emotions are contagious, but Chris’s face looked like he couldn’t wait for her to shut up.

Which means he wasn’t listening. He was planning what he was going to say, not listening.

But I am watching now, and he has spent quite a bit of time highlighting how great Biden's economic record is and what a paradox it is that his approval ratings are low. And he's definitely no fan of Trump.

I don't need a host to be giddy. If Chris Hayes is the type of person we want gone, then we are in dire straits.

But again, only an occasional watcher here. Great minds can differ

I don't like the bend he's taken on Biden's speech gaffes, which I think are given an inordinate amount of attention. Everyone makes gaffes like this, including professional anchor people.

Take a look at my analysis of Chris's gaffe tonight.

His coverage of the Biden administration has been excellent. He frequently does segments on the economy that are very informative.

I haven't been happy with him the past couple of weeks however. If he was a bit subdued tonight, perhaps it was because he may realize he was mistaken recently. Hopefully, sanity is starting to return.

It was right after the debate that Chris started down that dark path. I was blown away by him and Alex Wagner, both, but it was Rachel that totally blew my mind. I thought she was smarter than that.

We just quit watching any of the prime line up except Joy and Lawrence. Life is too short and too precious to spend it watching a kamikaze tactic to presidential elections.
