something seems off when the video is replayed.
No one behind TFG appears to have been wounded -- they're merely ducking down. The bullet grazed trump --yet he doesn't appear to have been at a higher elevation than the rear row of the crowd behind him. Wouldn't someone behind him have been struck? Especially if the shooter was perched at a high position outside the perimeter.

(31,893 posts)just as the shooter took the first shot. It looked like his rifle had a scope ( can't be sure ), and the shooter probably had trump in side profile. Buy turning his head the shot clipped his ear... I am discounting the glass theory for now... I think it was either the very first or second shot based on Trump's reaction... the missed shots probably were responsible for the spectators getting hit on the right hand stage ( Trump's left as he faced the crowd ).
Oh well, I wish this didn't happen at all... but if someone was trying to kill him, then you really can't miss... and now if you watch the West Wing TV show, Trump has his "Reagan moment" and the likely huge uptick in popularity. Sigh. Just like Bartlett in the TV show had a big uptick after he was shot after a speech in "Roslyn Virginia".
The SS has some explaining to do about how someone in daylight was crawling with a very visible rifle on a rooftop that close to where the former President was giving a speech. Especially when there were not that many buildings in the area ( according to an eye witness ).

(25,385 posts)If the shooter was on Trump's right, a bullet hitting his right ear area would have surely hit his skull.
Hard to believe a bullet would have grazed his ear and done no further damage.

(6,510 posts)The crowd wasn't as close behind him as it looks either. Trump is on a stage with 15-20 feet of ground level between the stage and the bleacher seats behind him.

(10,960 posts)Some venue was interviewing an ER doctor with blood all over his t-shirt who was nearby and tried to treat the deceased. Someone near Trump was shot in the head, brain matter falling out. Doctor performed CPR, but there was nothing to be done.

I think he was an OB-GYN - he said the guy was dead instantly.

It's one of those thoughts that can trigger an immediate existential crisis.

(4,135 posts)around here, they're called pole barns. Irregardless of size. Unless, it's small enough to be called a shed. Small animals can be kept in large barns. Often, a section is walled off, a separate entrance made, and used for the small animals (goats, chickens, etc.). That way, your chores can all be done at one location, and you don't have to walk building to building in bad weather to care for the animals.
