(42,037 posts)Republicans are now after her job, claiming she was unqualified and appointed because she is a woman.
Republicans have a new meme in their war on women. Women in high positions are now DEI hires.
They are misogynists, every one of them.
The fact that this same breakdown in security could also have occurred under a male director is lost on them.

(60,320 posts)She is the head of the Secret Service. She has been in it since 1995/6 including as Deputy Chief for a couple of tRump years like 2017/18. She then left to become security head for Pepsi before returning as Chief (actual position another title).
So magas refer to her as former chief of security for a "potato chip company" as if she was parachuting into a job she had no experience for. Thus they claim she is a DEI appointee, which in their lingo equates with dangerously incompetent.
It boils down to: they don't like women in authority or trust them.

It's cool, and welcome to DU.

(94,673 posts)..it's a term that the right is fixated on, but actually means and represents something most people support, like anti-fascism.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion aren't bugaboos, but the initials have become infamous.
