why wouldn't the SS have a few camera drones over any outside event and people in a van someplace looking for a sniper. Seriously we have seen 2 years now of drone operators in Ukraine taking out Russians soldiers, tanks, armored vehicles, etc.

3. Politicians are always late to their own rallies

I went to Obama's last rally in 2008 the night before the election, and I was worried we were going to miss it because we were running late, but we got there and still had to wait for hours. That was true for other rallies I've been to as well. I wouldn't read much into that. The shooter being late is a little odd though.
