(11,056 posts)It was by an LEO who has experience with presidential visits. He discussed tiers of protection where the SS is in the close and far tier, but the mid-distance tier was largely local law enforcement. He had thought where the gunman was would be more local responsibility.
It was an interesting read, but I can't find it just at the moment.
But that aside, you'd have to imagine the SS is the overall "buck stops here" in all this. Delegating or not, it's still ultimately their show.
