Now, my question is, WHY did they suddenly feel the need for extra resources? What were they hearing? And, if they were, in fact, hearing things to cause them to feel the need for extra resources, why not cancel or reschedule? And, of course, if there WAS nothing being heard, then they are just creating bs out of thin air again.

5. It's bullshit, as usual. Trump has a regular, assigned Secret Service detail.

Nobody is reassigned away from that detail to cover other events or protectees, as FLOTUS also has her own assigned detail. Local law enforcement handles security outside the perimeter of the rally area, and it's quite possible that it was their oversight, not the SecServ's, that made it possible for the shooter to reach the roof of the building - or poor communication between the two agencies, not a shortage of personnel.

Susan Crabtree of RealClearPolitics reported on social media that unnamed sources told her resources were diverted away from Trump to protect the first lady, who was also campaigning in Pennsylvania on Saturday.
