President Joe Biden gave a forceful and defensive response to centrist Democrats who raised concerns about his reelection campaign in a Saturday meeting, and in one tense exchange dismissed one lawmakers concerns as crap.
Rep. Jason Crow (D-Colo.), a respected centrist in the Democratic caucus, told Biden that people want a strong leader so they can feel safe on national security.
I dont want to hear that crap, Biden said in response to Crows suggestion that voters did not have confidence in his national security credentials, raising his voice in a forceful defense of his foreign policy record, including the rebuilding of NATO, according to three people familiar with the remarks granted anonymity to discuss the private meeting.
But Crow spoke up again to say Bidens accomplishments werent breaking through to voters.

Look at what happened to authoritarian W Bush's approval numbers in September 2001. They went from the lowest of any POTUS to the highest in a matter of days.
I don't want strong leaders. Strong leaders go rogue.
I want strong representation. With accountability.

(26,607 posts)Crow and people creating division post primary season is weakness. This is where Democrats look weak. In 2020 everyone vocally supported Biden. They won. The difference is obvious.
