History shows that the wicked go down in flames (or bunkers or golf carts) but it is up to us to stop the hate, intolerance and bigotry that they manipulate for their purposes.

Don't get me wrong. Being pessimistic can be useful if it inspires action. But I'm not here for hand-wringing or declarations of defeat (and I see a lot of both).
