Disheartened? These people never gave up when faced with enormous obstacles.

John Lewis led the march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, and the crossing of Edmund Pettus Bridge, known as "Bloody Sunday," as state troopers brutally attacked marchers. Lewis suffered a fractured skull, and the events influenced the passing of the Voting Rights Act, which Lewis remained a staunch supporter of until his last days.

Did he worry what "pundits" thought?

Ruby Freeman and her daughter, Wandrea “Shaye” Moss

Giuliani’s lies in support of former President Donald Trump’s bogus stolen-election claims subjected them to a torrent of racist and violent threats and turned their lives upside down.

Did they buckle under harrassment?

Ruby Bridges became the first Black student at age 6 to integrate William Franz Elementary School—a white public school in New Orleans—in November 1960.

Angry onlookers jeered at Bridges as she walked by

Rosa Parks

In 1955, she was arrested for refusing to give up her bus seat for white customers.

And just one more.

Reverend Martin Luther King

"There is nothing greater in all the world than freedom. It's worth going to jail for. It's worth losing a job for. It's worth dying for. My friends, go out this evening determined to achieve this freedom which God wants for all of His children." — Martin Luther King, Jr.

We can't all be heroes, but our bravery and persistence can and will triumph over hate and intolerance. Together, we will do it. Again!

History shows that the wicked go down in flames (or bunkers or golf carts) but it is up to us to stop the hate, intolerance and bigotry that they manipulate for their purposes.

RIGHT F•••ING NOW

Stay focused. Eyes on the Prize.

Now we have to get Democrats, including ones like Carville and Schiff, to jump on board and stop with the doomsday BS.

I just hope Schiff and the rest can get that through their heads. Their attempted coup failed. Now it's time to stop with the self-righteous doomsday memes and get on board. If they keep it up and Biden loses I will be blaming them for a playing a role in it.

Over the past few years I've seen so much open passivity and pessimism.

Don't get me wrong. Being pessimistic can be useful if it inspires action. But I'm not here for hand-wringing or declarations of defeat (and I see a lot of both).

"Keep your eyes on the prize. Hold on."
