My opinion may not count for anything. But President Biden has been one of the finest Presidents we have had in my long life. He got us through Covid.. re-established us with our allies.. rebuilding our infrastructure.. the list goes on and on..
I maybe a nobody.. living in a small town.. but I know that he is the best man for the job at this point in time. He has his hand on rail and is keeping us steady.. Yes he misspeaks.. so what.. you start trading away competence because you don't like the optics of the old man.
I stand with President Biden as long as he fights.. I am right behind him.

(6,679 posts)I don't know about the "new group" . I know about Biden and his group. He honestly seems to care about the average citizen. I'm guessing those who think they know best, or at least better than the rest of us, don't respect the normal citizen as much as Biden. They know better... I'm honestly really depressed and very angry at the same time.

Best President of my lifetime end of story. Our economy is #1 in the world, unemployment is
@ a 70 year low, inflation was in negative numbers last month, the market is at all time highs, and
he just had all the service members who got dishonorable discharges for being gay records cleaned
up.
And he protected this too. Copper River and Bristol Bay, Alaska.

Keep fighting!!

(4,736 posts)... I, too, am a graybeard, only 4 years younger than Joe. We could have gone to high school together.
We got to where we are today because of his wisdom, skill, and experience. To betray such a selfless leader over a stupid fucking debate is cowardice beyond understanding.

(3,216 posts)Biden's got my vote and so does Harris. As those weak kneed Democrats who want to force him from Office stumble fearfully away from the last and final hope to preserve democracy, I'm standing with the president. Period.
Those who would force him to quit are cowardly fools. When Mr. Biden wins in November, he and his administration will secure the victory and prevent a repeat of Fatso's failed insurrection -- and Mr. Biden will not forget the wavering, dickish, erstwhile "allies" who lacked the courage and integrity to stand with him during the campaign.
Just my thoughts, albeit my confident thoughts.

(19,872 posts)Biden's "sin" that has given the donor class a sad is that he has advocated for us nobodies.
He dared to say he doesn't care about the opinions of milliionaires.
That angers the "masters of the universe".
I'm with Biden because he cares about us.

(7,943 posts)who can best see it? I know I'm in a small town, and I'm ridin' with Biden all the way... especially since he has now come out with policy changes to the courts, especially SCOTUS. Still think he could do more under executive order, but I'm old and in a small town, too... what do I know?! I know I'm going to vote, and not only myself but everyone around me is voting for Biden. That's a drop in the bucket as far as overall population, but it's quite a lot in this small city.

(13,384 posts)I wish there was a way to let Joe know millions are standing right beside him no matter what. His biggest misspeaks don't even come a pinch of an inch towards all Trump has said and done. I just hope people step out of their foggy brains and tired of it all to vote for Joe.

(8,173 posts)It has a proven track record.
A replacement team would not.
By all means prep a replacement team for the next election, the 2028 one, but not this one.
Both R and D voters will see Joe stepping down now as a panicked admission of defeat.
(While I'm here . . .is it just me?
Watching Trump's rallies, less a politician outlining policies than a General revving up his troops prior to sending them into battle.
Am I alone on that? )

(4,269 posts)It's NOT just because he's done an amazing job. It's also because HE'S NOT FINISHED!
With his experience and wisdom, he knows how to get things done to make America better for us all. After fixing infrastructure and beginning to tackle climate change, Biden continues to work. He's laser-focused on fixing things that no one else has ever tackled for us: banking charges, unfair student debt practices, affordable housing and rent increases, SCOTUS reforms. Can anyone else get a fraction of those enacted into law even if we gain the House and Senate? Not sure. But I know that Joe can.
I'm not even sure "replacement candidates" would see the same things to tackle or have the know-how or team to get it done. Way less experience and then there's a lifetime of relationships built from when the Senate (and all levels of government) were more collegial. His sense of humor and empathy are tremendous assets too.

(35,135 posts)to be nervous whenever Biden speaks. Instead of going all in on attacking trump, their focus is on critiquing and being nervous about everything Biden says. Their negative energy gets passed to the media and the public. How can we be victorious with that going on? How????? If you can explain how we win anything with unmotivated and nervous elected Democrats, then I'll feel a lot better.
As Democrats we have to vow to vote blue no matter who the candidate is.
If Joe gets replaced, we vote for his replacement full stop.
I fully support Biden, but I would vote for a steaming pile of horseshit before Id vote for TSF.
We have to support whoever it is. This is our last chance.

(437 posts)Lots of hand wringing and worrying about the election.
People keep saying Biden needs to do something. Someone needs to do something. Well guess what every single one of you who are reading ...you and I are someone and there is plenty we can do.
The simple solution to all the hand-wringing is to channel all your worry into getting busy. No one has to do anything difficult. No one has to bench press more than 350 lbs, or run a mile under 4 minutes.
If you can make phone calls, contact your local party office, Indivisible, etc, and make phone calls on behalf of your candidates. If you can write letters and postcards then write letters and postcards. If you can only talk, then talk to people. Maybe you want to invite a few of your neighbors over for some iced tea and talk about literature you can drop off, phone calls you can make, and people you can invite over to discuss politics. If you can donate money then donate as much as you are comfortable to the candidates or party of your choice. I believe all that it takes to have a landslide in this November election is for each of us to get one more person to vote for the Democratic party. And if enough of us care to get involved I believe Biden can win by 15 or 20 million votes. All we need to do is get busy and do simple little things between now and November.

(34 posts)Sometimes we all need a little insight as compared to certainty.
You're not a nobody, you're important, so is your opinion.
A perspective which contributes to growth and change is
a perspective which thrives. One which predicates itself on status quo.
Fear of change is just as bad as the discomfort that change brings.
