(14,765 posts)the facts are in and Pelosi and the power Democrats are indeed pushing this intensely...
I think we will know if this happens in a few days.... I do NOT support the change wherein Biden steps aside.... It goes against the Primary voters ...us.
Just buckle up folks.

Way different from "I have the best chance" which is what I heard him say.

(52 posts)So Biden was talking it about that Kamala couldn't win, in the past. Now he's asking if Kamala could conceivably win. Which is supposed to mean Biden is more "receptive" towards leaving the ticket. Which means that, essentially, up to now, Biden has refused to leave the ticket because he was always afraid Kamala would lose.
Does any part of that message sound real?
It's crap. The mission is to confuse and demoralize. And waste our time.

(56,198 posts)I think a week or more ago there was a story that the White House was quietly polling about how she and others would fare.
Biden is the sort of guy who asks for more data and listen even if he's going to disagree.
Doesn't mean he's shifted his position any.

(43 posts)I don't think she can win this year or in 2028.
So, regardless of what ends up happening this year (and here's to hoping Joe wins), we need to start talking about 2028 the day after the election.
We cannot have someone who is beholden to wealthy special interests. They will lose.
We need to talk about the platform and make sincere efforts at pushing it every day until the next election.
This platform must focus on banning corporate ownership of single family homes. Today, not in 10 years. This must include LLCs. You need to make over $200,000 to be able to afford a home without a down payment these days. That is unacceptable. That's a tiny minority of Americans who can afford to buy a home these days.
This platform must focus on increasing the buying power of wages. It IS a zero sum game, the buying power of the wealthy will have to decrease.
This platform must focus on protecting public commons for public benefit. From national parks and wildernesses to getting the public's fair share for profit off of mineral exploitation on public lands.
Anything less. We lose. A candidate that can't convincing evince this message. We lose.
It is time for big ideas of rebuilding the American dream for the majority and guaranteeing electoral democracy the only way possible: through economic democracy.

Unlike my opponent, Im not beholden to billionaires like Elon. Or to Big Pharma. Or Big Oil. Or the NRA, for that matter. The only way that Kamala and I can win this election is with people power and grassroots supporters like you by our side. So thanks for being on this team.
