It seems a little more difficult to catch up.
Are we getting more visitors?
It would be interesting to hear what brought them back and what brought them to DU for the first time?
However, I'm not sure most of the posts will be very enlightening?
Just an observation from another point of view.

(115,407 posts)I thought it was sort of like DU when it moves too fast.

(8,505 posts)that things posted only a minute ago are already buried beneath 5 or more more recent posts. So I can only surmise it's because of the sheer volume of entries.

(43 posts)The people with money to throw around on that are not our allies. They want disproportionate influence to benefit their own private interests.

(5,410 posts)it is actually a rather obscure site, with a relatively small membership---
more easily found by Russian bots than wealthy donors...

(43 posts)I've been a dem since I was a kid thanks to a good mom in a red state.
I have been reading Democratic Underground since the W Bush's first term. I just joined now because the wealthy donors are pushing the Democratic Party into many years in the wilderness.
But, people I know of the last decade or so have known what I'm talking about when I mention Democratic Underground. They just aren't members.
The quote marks don't around wealthy, they go around "donors" because it is a protection racket.

(27,633 posts)When I logged in this morning at 7:30 I had 6 pages of new posts at 50 posts per page. I just deleted a ton of them as they are repeated news.
Lots of low count posters, some with recent join dates others with join dates several years ago. Also find lots of essay writers. Long winded expressions of ideology and points of view. While I appreciate their enthusiasm, I don't have the time to read them.

(115,407 posts)More posters and more readers are good for the owners of the site.
We just have to try and stay moored to the truth.
