We Can't Let Them Divide Us.

I am a very optimistic person and I am confident that we can win this thing if we stay united. Whether it’s Joe or someone else we have to close ranks in a hurry. Trump isn’t building up as much momentum as I thought but we have enough time to course correct. Our leaders are scared as is everyone else on DU but the bad guys only win if we fight amongst ourselves. I am encouraged that most of the softening in Joe’s poll numbers isn’t necessarily from Trump gaining new voters but the enthusiasm of our voters. I am confident that post DNC we will have the momentum but until then I think the Biden Team and the Congressional Leaders need to set a deadline for action. No matter what happens, after that date we need to close ranks and get back to work because it is hard to “work like you’re 20 points down” when you don’t have clarity on what the next steps are.

And we don't need party leadership's permission to close ranks and move forward. There's been a huge surge in contributions to the Biden campaign, in the teeth of the threat of big donors pulling their money, which I seriously doubt any of them will actually do if they believe Trump is the threat that they say he is. And in spite of what I'm going to call out as a bogus, bullshit poll saying 65% of Democrats want Biden to step out, I'm going to say that the support that is rallying around the President from grassroots Democrats is the most stirring thing going on in politics right now.

AS far as I am concerned, it's over. I've had my say, and I will not contribute to having this drag on any more. My money and my vote go to Biden. It's over, he's the nominee and if you're loyal, and you've been honest, you'll work as hard as I will for his election.

In the long run, we don't need party leadership to win, especially those who are publicly doubting that he can. They need to worry about whether they can win again after this fiasco.
