I don't understand why his shoes were off when he got nicked. I assume he was wearing loafers with lifts, because of his monstrous vanity.
Were they uncomfortable and he takes them off while he's bloviating?
Were they already off, or did they fall off when he ducked?
Why would they fall off? The lifts bring his stupid fat fascist heels near the top of the shoe? The SS agents dogpiling him?
Why did he care so much about retrieving them? The lifts?
I know the Republic is collapsing and all, but I keep wondering about it.

(128,732 posts)so they'll come off much more easily. Without lifts, your feet will contact the insoles and the laces will hold the shoes on. With them, there's really nothing to keep the shoes on because the laces will tie down only the front of the foot. The heel will slide right out. This might also explain why he can't walk normally on ramps, and why he tilts forward when he stands (his huge ass providing a counterweight so he doesn't fall on his face).

(4,126 posts)Not tied. Which would increase the likelihood of them coming off easily.

(7 posts)I read somewhere in one of his brief recaps of what happened that he said they came off when the secret service agents tackled him. He said they knocked him down so hard he flew out of his shoes.

(38,074 posts)The whole "let me get my shoes" when he's in the middle of an assassination attempt? His 1st concern is that his lifts charade isn't exposed, THEN posing for the cameras.
Have I mentioned he's the Worst Person in America?

Add in a heel wedge to increase height and I can't imagine it'd be a tight fit.
