then I am out. I won't be a Republican. I won't be a prep-crypto-techno boy's water carrier either.
Donors upended the will and hard work of 14 million Democratic primary voters.
Not sure there is a rebuilding for that.

(14,765 posts)I seriously doubt I will have to write in Biden/Harris as I truly believe Joe Biden will be on the ballot and he is not dropping out...
tRump/Vance will NOT win..... we will have 4 more years Biden/Harris.
Just relax, hang in there...things for Biden will go great in early September forward....

(1,983 posts)It's not good-- not good at all-- that donors seem to have outsized influence, but none of this would be happening if polls showed Dem voters were still behind Biden. Unfortunately, they show the opposite-- most want a different nominee.
I don't think anyone can be sure of what the best chance for victory is. I certainly don't. But in talking offline with people, it's clear many of them are really, deeply worried that we're on track to lose. That's what's driving all of this.

(17,577 posts)And just who do they think would do better than Biden? Thats the part that is always left out.
They certainly have someone in mind, dont they?
And I totally believe this is a manipulated effort on the part of big money.

(1,983 posts)Some say Harris. Some want it to be decided at the convention.
If it's a manipulated effort, why did they wait so long? What did Biden do in the last three weeks that suddenly made them stop their support?

(17,577 posts)I dont think Biden has done anything that should negate him as the nominee. I think he may have pissed off some elites and this is their payback. Clooney comes to mind.
They say its his age yet they could have calculated his age on any given day.
Makes one go hmmmmm doesnt it?

(20,384 posts)The way things are shaping up the odds are this will be the last free and fair election we get. Project 2025, Trumps appointees, and a six member GOP majority on the USSC all under 60 will ensure that.
But yeah, I'll vote for whoever the oligarchs, power brokers, and celebrities want to install as the Democratic nominee.
