Biden Campaign All Hands Meeting Friday

The Biden For President campaign is calling an all-staff meeting for Friday. It’s heading into a critical weekend for the party as Republican Donald Trump wraps up a heady Republican National Convention in Milwaukee and Democrats, racing time, consider the extraordinary possibility of Biden stepping aside for a new presidential nominee before their own convention next month in Chicago.

7. I love the Democratic Party and wouldn't be any other. But man, we sure know how to fuck ourselves up sometimes.

9. Maybe they are not effing up, but making political sausage.

We don't want to see how the sausage is made, we just want to see the finished product.

There have been other times members of congress had frank dialogues and behind the scenes events with a sitting president from their own party.

And not the first time there have been bruising political brawls.

The base thinks it's insanity, the Dem leadership probably thinks it's smart given the crucial nature of the election. Or they think they are avoiding some sort of bloodbath on election day. And willing to risk the bloodbath within their own base.

We won't know until election day which side was right, which side was wrong.

10. Absolutely, your last sentence is the truth. There's not a damn thing I can do about it so I can speculate all I want

It is the basis of the scientific method.

And in times of crisis we are information seekers.
We try to figure out what is going on.

Not a lot we can do at this point.

This is a brutal brawl between a sitting president and members of congress from his own party.

5. Typically the rumor mill doesn't report frequent brutal showdowns behind the scenes.
