I don't know what the answer is

I am not so arrogant as to know how well Joe Biden is. I don't know what the internal polling is concerning an alternative. But when political figures that I like and admire are of different minds, I get scared. For example, AOC and Sherrod Brown. I am politically savvy enough to know that we can't go into this election divided. If Democratic elected officials are debating on whether or not our candidate is fit for office, we're fucked. If the sitting President and his team feel as though they were stabbed in the back by their own party, we're fucked.

I am a Democrat. I have always voted and worked for the Democratic nominee. I know that this country is fucked if Trump wins. All I can ask our Democratic leaders to do is to get it together. They have more information than I do. I'll do whatever they want. But please recognize how damaging a loss can be.

1. I believe they will unite behind President Biden.

If he chooses to remain in, and I think he will. These other Democrats will support him once he is officially the nominee. This would then be a binary choice between two older men. One a convicted felon, rapist, narcissistic psychopath and corrupt businessman who is showing dangerous signs of cognitive decline, and another that has led the country very well for almost 4 years and has more foreign policy experience than most of his critics. THIS IS THE CHOICE. IT IS THAT SIMPLE.

2. Color me worried

It's hard to unite when there are recent public statements covering every possible position from well-respected Democrats.

As the title of the OP says, "I don't know what the answer is".

That apparently includes a lot of 'money people' who donated to Democratic candidates, because it seems obvious they are pulling the strings on all these politicos who have monkey-wrenched the election.

7. What burns me up is that everyone accepts a computer projection that says Joe Biden can't beat the

now-convicted felon that he already beat 4 years ago.

I know computers. Programs and data and algorithms are created and selected by humans.

And they are vulnerable. The biggest news of the week is all the brutal hacks. My credit union was hacked and useless for weeks.

Injecting some tiny black magic into a program is child's play because nobody is looking for it.

And no alternate person is in sight whom the public knows. (And hasn't pledged support to Joe)

All for that dreaded proposed tax increase on unearned income.

It's like shooting your horse and trying to win the race with a goat.

Deranged stuff.

I hope that Joe uses his super powers. He deserves to ( but in official duties ).

that honors and respects all the wonderful achievements and qualities and principles and humanity of President Biden and Vice-President Harris - that honors and respects this and also somehow, and believe me I don't know how, incorporates what it takes for all of us to move forward with a unified plan to defeat these bullies and liars and despots and charlatans on the other side.

I know I don't have the answer. And i have done my fair share of opinionating in recent days.

And so now I mostly spread good news that strikes me as good, including every good news that tickles me or inspires me about Biden/Harris.

I wish that just everybody could do this, and we could just move forward.

But if and when we can't, I wish that President Biden and Vice-President Harris use the power that has been vested in them through being elected and winning the primaries in the most awesome way possible. That supports and enhances them and the Democratic Party and the wonderful principles we stand for and the nation at large. And I wish for this to be resolved in a calm and not rushed and peaceful and powerful way that somehow supports all these different aims so that we go forward powerfully, like a juggernaut, to defeat the forces of true darkness that exist on the other side. And that we find ways to support all the common good we can find in the best possible way.

Like I say, I have no idea how this is going to happen. But for those of us who may believe in some kind, any kind, of higher power, I let this go into that place with blessings and a knowledge that there are amazing ways for most anything to turn out and happen. Especially when it is in support of that which is good and true and free and so forth.

And so it is.
