... you don't believe the Biden campaign is going to seriously consider this, right?

There's no logic to what you say because Democrats aren't following their lead. This is a public campaign to try and get voters to pressure President Biden to resign.

Give it a minute and the campaign will sort it out for folks who don't seem to be able to respond with more than 'Vance is playing an uncertain and politically fraught game to keep Biden in,' as if there was some logical end to that.

The Trump camp dream move is to get the Democrats to blow up their convention where Joe Biden has virtually no real opposition, except the projections of a handful of legislators.

They're trying to increase and amplify calls for the president to step down. It makes no sense that they want to endure the coopting of this campaign tactic, as it's already been throughout the internet and on the media, purposely risking Joe Biden stepping down and facing what you suppose is their ultimate fear of Kamala.

'Head fake' would only make sense if their entire republican machine hadn't just turned on this messaging. it's not a head fake if it's the dominate appeal from the Trump campaign. It's a silly notion, given that this is taking over their own party's message in the couple hours since Vance said this.

Where's the head fake in that? This is directed at Democratic and others, not Biden.

...some 30 of them..

Did they not even imagine how the Trump campaign would exploit their calls for Joe Biden to withdraw or even with suggestions he should 'step down' from the presidency?

I'll tell you who cares. This voter who had endured weeks of his own party members saying essentially the same. Is it clear what this effort represents to the opposition now. Or does it have to be spelled out in cursive?

The Trump campaign has figured out how to exploit this Democratic movement of legislators which has thrown the campaign into such a tizzy.

Here's the deal though. For those of us who believe this 'Dump Biden' effort is an anathema to our democratic system of elections and the voters who participate, I will confidently declare that this is an official position of the Trump campaign, as if it wasn't obvious before.

Don't discount all of us who have been subjected to this internal betrayal of our votes, with self-dealing legislators trying to get President Biden to turn his back on those of us who voted to nominate him.

Let's see how Democrats react to THESE calls for our nominee to step down coming directly from the Trump ticket.

Then let's see the backflips used to distinguish the Trump campaign's goal of upsetting this ticket from any other ostensibly Democratically allied effort to do the same.

Also, this is a clear indication that the Trump team doesn't want to face Joe Biden and wants to disrupt the Democratic nomination process.

Who in our party is still standing for the same disruption, albeit for different reasons, but with the same destructive effect on the Democratic party and our chances in this election?

The Trump campaign doesn't want to face Joe Biden in the general so they're trying to exploit the Democratic based effort to get him out of the way.

Who in our party is acquiescing to that?

And that once you opened the door, you weren't likely to get it closed again.

It's really amazing how shortsighted Democrats are. How they can't see the next obvious set up from both the media and Republicans is beyond me.

It's why Harris isn't going to be the option too. Because the media is going to hound her about what she knew and how long she knew it. Republicans would demand an investigation into the administration to see if they were covering up anything related to Biden's health and the media absolutely would LOVE to focus on that one.

The kicker? With how weak some Democrats are, I wouldn't be surprised if a few came out and validated the questions too, adding even more fuel to the fire.

If people really think all this goes away the second Biden steps aside, they're foolin' themselves.

As soon as Sherrod Brown announced that Biden should step down his GOP opponent said this:

“If Joe Biden is unfit to run, he is unfit to serve,” Moreno said in an emailed statement from his campaign. “I am formally calling on Joe Biden to resign the Presidency because his continued presence in the situation room is a national security threat. I hope Senator Brown will join me.”

If Biden is forced to step down this message will turn into a shrieking cacophony that won't allow any new "miracle" Dem ticket to be heard.

Sherrod Brown just made his re-election campaign 10x harder as now he is on defense. It also puts the current Biden presidency at risk. How do you pass legislation if some of your highest ranking Dems are calling for you to step down from the 2024 ticket?

The stupidity of this "Drop Biden" idea is jaw-dropping.

They are scared of our nominee, at the least.

They know well that a disrupted Democratic party with a new and dubiously experienced candidate is a soft target.

They barely have to lift a finger to join in on the already super-hyped internal divisions in the party.

OTOH, if we're smart, we can make THIS the face of our opposition to the dropping of our incumbent president from the race. It's a no-brainy miracle (or maybe just inevitable).

Going to be awkward for Dems not accepting that their public campaigning against our nominee has been predictably co-opted by the Trump campaign.

...who got caught playing along?

Who is still playing the same game?

Jesus, this is like convincing a slowly boiling frog to jump out of the water.

i get that folks are slowly waking to the political implications of this.

It would be just as you say, IF there wasn't a contingent of Democrats saying essentially the same, albeit for different reasons. I mean, the effect is still the same on the party and our chances in November if we do as Vance and others want.

Division and destruction in either effort to have Biden step down. Really awkward now that it's about to become a Trump campaign mantra.

I'll tell you how pissed off this makes me at another time in the future. Right now, take an honest look at the political shit some legislators have us in.

Then watch as the Biden campaign ignores the Democrats calling for him to resign and bears down on the Trump campaign's admission here that they fear Joe Biden as a candidate and will do anything to keep from facing him in November.

Your political mileage may vary.

But the dumb asses jumped right in and made the Trump campaign the face of the 'Biden resign' effort, revealing their fear and taking all the energy out and making it incredibly awkward for anyone even remotely mimicing this call for Pres. Biden to resign.

I won't even mention Democrats still opposing our nominee as much anymore as much because, I'll be pointing almost exclusively to the Trump campaign effort as something to get our backs up to oppose.

If balking Dem pols think they can still do this at the same time the Trump campaign is engaged, I think they're fooling themselves.

Those poor widdle billionaires! They feel so insecure because they just don't have enough money! Why, they need TAX CUTS.

So Charlie Koch, who is 88 and will soon pass without TAKING ANY OF HIS MONEY OR POWER with him to the next world has had his Heritage Foundation create a plan to destroy the republic and replace it with a theocratic oligarchy.

But that wasn't enough. Nope. Those poor little billionaire souls were just SO worried Biden might win, they decided they would also work from our end, so they announced they were withholding donations from Biden and told downticket Dems, "But we'll donate to you if..."

And in the meantime Wall Street roars, and those greed lizards have it set up so it costs BIG BUCKS to run any political campaign and this will get worse.

In the meantime us little people will get the old Wall Street squeeze, because we are going to have to suck it up and take massive cuts to programs that help us, as well as sustaining a big TAX INCREASE so those nice billionaires can get just a little more!

Sounds great, right?

But wait for the encore:
Concentration camps, mass deportations, Bannon and his brownshirts will be 'coming for' Democratic leaders.

It does get worse, too. When we betray the NATO alliance, it will surely lead to a really big war, perhaps even a nice world war.

So you know what? When the billionaire parasites are hunkering down in their bunkers worrying about running out of food because the earth is a blackened cinder, hopefully they will feel all better.

Don't worry about being mad at the weak-kneed Democrats, either. They will be hunted down or forced to swear an oath to Donald because, hey, Fuhrer Prinzip, don't you know!

Because pulling our guy out what, three months before the election, is a guarantee we will get pasted at the polls, and the perfidy will be backfiring on downticket Democrats running this year. Because most Americans will be so disgusted, maybe too disgusted to vote. Oh, I will, but I'm only one guy. I'm sure you will too. But the everyday American who thinks about the election maybe the week before and due Wall Street ruling the publicly traded media are pathetically uninformed (oh, that was on purpose!), well, they will shake their heads, stay home and hope whoever is elected won't fuck things up too much.

Ah, but then they will find out just how fucked we really are. But that won't last long. I give the Trump/Vance American Reich maybe ten years. I don't think it will even last as long as Hitler's. Hitler didn't have nukes.

I never thought this republic could fall so far so fast, but the billionaire class has been playing a long, long game and now it is coming to fruition.

As to all of us, get your passports up to date in case you are given the opportunity to flee.

So where is the justice? Why do these billionaires get to fuck us all over so badly? When will they bear the weight of their evil? I don't know and neither do you. But I know that somehow they will live in the misery they are about to foist off on all of us with their fucking greed.

Will J.D. make it to Biden's inauguration because you know Trump won't.

Remember that Trump is not running for
President but he is running to stay out of
jail. Rinse, lather, and repeat.

Quite coincidentally, it happens to be the man currently holding that office.

OK, maybe not coincidentally.

From his numerous golf cart interviews.

Dems who support this get rid of Biden campaign are buying into the RNC talking points and Russian troll idiots.

Of course Pedo Trump wants to get rid of Biden. Biden has been the only one to win a head to head campaign against Trump.

Biden has the incumbent advantage. If Biden is replace (by a magical fantasy Dem) Pedo Trump is guaranteed to win absolutely. It will make the pedo look like the incumbent because he would be the most recent office holder in the election.

This is just like 2016 only we don't even have a decent challenger like Bernie. Keep pushing to get rid of Biden and the election will end like in 2016. Russia, corporate media, Republicons, and social media emperors really want Biden out of the race to make room for the Pedo.

If your Boss has 33 felony convictions, maybe he two should drop out as well!

Oh yeah,

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

JUSTICE FOR ALL!

There's nothing wrong with Biden's ability to serve. We don't kick people out of public service because they don't walk as fast as they did a year ago.
