Here's my theory on the calls for Biden to bow out

I think the corporate media reaction to the calls for Biden to quit is self explanatory: more clicks = more money = good for them, no matter what the consequences for the rest of us. But it's the Democratic politicians calling for his removal that puzzle me. Some of them are back benchers that no one cares about and are maybe just looking for attention, but some of them are (or were) well respected Dems. So here's what I choose to believe (without a shred of any evidence):

1. Biden and the Dems came up with this as a ruse to build up tension and drama before the Democratic convention in order to get more low-info voters to tune in to the conference to see what happens. What they'll see is the contrast between Blue (good) and Red (bad).

2. During the conference all these supposedly wayward Dems will put on a big show about how wrong they were, how they should have never called on him to quit, and how they can now see that he is by far the best candidate to lead us for the next four years. We'll go back to being a united party heading into the election, the undecideds and independents will get the message and join our side in voting for Biden.

Like I said, it's what I choose to believe, it gives me comfort.

1. I like it. America loves a good comeback. I can see Joe at the convention, shouting to the crowd.

“What do you do when you get knocked down?“ and the crowd yells “you get back up“. That’s what I hope. If the Republicans can do such a 180 on Trump. These guys can turn at an angle and come back to Joe.

Wonder about Obama speaking at convention? I would imagine he will.

However it happens, we have to unite and get past this. Al Sharpton just relayed (Confirmed previous reports on MSNBC that Bill and Hillary are strongly behind Biden and working on the recalcitrant donors. Still a lot of self-important Dem House members running their mouths off, though.

5. While I hope it works out with a rejuvenated, united convention, I don't think this was planned. If so, I'd like to know
