Newt Gingrich is making a lot of noise, as are other extreme conservatives.
Let's not help them.
Let's support Joe but also let the process play out and let's resist open condemnation of those with whom we disagree.
Support the Democrat nominee no matter who she or he turns out to be.
If we can do this we will win.
we can do it

That's a fact, and if it is picked up as a talking point on the right, well, even a blind chicken pecks up a little corn....

(40,969 posts)There's a thread this morning asking, how many dems have called for Trump to drop out? I think the answer is zero. The repubs stand strong behind their racist/rapist/traitor felon & we can't stand strong behind one of the best presidents in modern times? What the fuck has happened to these dems? One is my senator. For some reason he's never on the list but he was one of the first to go on CNN & say that he's worried we're gonna lose in a landslide & down ballot too. He had to say in a landslide! WTF, Bennet, you damned fool!
We needed the whole of the Democratic Party & especially Congress to come out fighting, like AOC & Newsom did in full support of President Biden. Instead, the naysayers have inflicted incredible damage on our side's presidential campaign & seriously, we might not recover from this!
Fuck every single one of them & if we lose, fuck 'em again. ~insert a double flip-the-bird here

(94,261 posts)The Republican vice presidential candidate said that everyone calling on Mr Biden to withdraw from the race without also calling on him to resign the presidency was engaged in an absurd level of cynicism.
If you cant run, you cant serve, Mr Vance added, in a post on X. He should resign now.

I want to see a debate, I feel like Harris is terrifying to them while appealing to a broad audience, younger voters, etc.
Take care, Mo!

We had a primary. The voters decided.

(37,535 posts)Oh, I know--they're actively supporting Biden's nomination, but it's negative support!
We can extend that to any election--everybody voted for Biden, but some cast positive votes and some cast negative votes! But ultimately, every vote was Biden-centric.
It's like saying that Beryl's demolition of the Houston-area power grid was a great thing, because it pointed out weakness so we can toughen the infrastructure. We should welcome no power or connectivity for a week or more as public service!
This is all silly. If the description's accurate, don't try to frame it to delude and deceive--to do so is to support dis- or mis-information.
