1. Wow! I'm reminded of people who see naked dogs as indecent.

I'd call it a real stretch to see what I took to be endearing as "creepy".

an adult male giving jewelry to his new step-daughter with the suggestion she's part of the package sounds like a scene from a movie of the week!

Immediately after promising to Love, Honor and Protect (not Obey), Mrs. 1StrongBlackMan, made a similar vow to BabyGirl 1StrongBlackMan, and as with Mrs. 1StrongBlackMan, I sealed my promise with a ring that she wears around her neck.

The fact is/was BabyGirl 1StrongBlackMan DID come as "a part of the package" and as such, my marrying her mother came with a recognition and acknowledgement that I have a special duty to Love, Honor and Protect BabyGirl 1StrongBlackMan, as well as her mother.

Nothing creepy about that!
