Something's died inside me and it isn't coming back

The media, the monied donors, and high ranking members of his own party took down a successful sitting president. Removed the incumbent edge.

This feels worse than:

Nancy Pelosi re: GWB "Impeachment is Off the Table"

Al Franken must step down, no investigation, no seeing if there was Russian meddling.

Hillary being right about Putin's puppet and then learning about all the evil shit that GOP/Putin colluders did.
Hillary "losing" despite have more votes. Gore too, the GOP members of the Supreme Court fucked us yet again.

My vote has been disenfranchised twice. Maybe 3 times depending on how you count it.

My vote for Dean Phillips kicked off Steve fucking Schmidt's pass the torch. That GOP mofo who plopped Sarah Palin on us. Who planted the evil seed that Biden was too old. 50 years of service. Good governance. Gone. Poof.

I worked for like 20 years to flip Phillips' seat from red to blue. And now the seat is up for grabs again thanks to that asshole. Beautiful spring days spent inside Eden Prairie high school, caucusing, after an awful winter in Minnesota

Phillips is a white male. Schmidt is a white male. I'm smarter than both of them, put together.

But that doesn't matter because I don't have the power that the Patriarchy gives them. As a woman, I don't have the money they do. In 2022, American women typically earned 82 cents for every dollar earned by men. I'm white, so I can only imagine the financial impacts on women of color.

I now have to wait until some rich white dudes decide. Or watch battling white men, as challengers for power, tear apart the party at the convention. And then lose the election. Stupid white guys.

My own party threw out the votes of primary voters.

Something has died inside me, as a woman. We are hated in this country. In spite of the fact that women are smarter than men. I'll now have to hear what men, mostly white men, decide.

So when you call up that shrink in Beverly Hills
You know the one, Dr. Everything'll-Be-Alright
Instead of asking him how much of your time is left
Ask him how much of your mind, baby
Prince

Young dude bros get to think they've saved us! Until maybe they have not and I get to become, at best, a Martha in Gilead or sent to the colonies.

The scary thing for America and for the Democratic party going forward is:

There are too many voters, pundits, donors, and senior Democratic officials now exposed as believing knowing they can circumvent the primary process at any time and install whoever they want.

And their plans were successful.

I am thankful for what he's done for this country, to be sure, but he's a big boy. He knows the game. He knows the risks of being a politician. Comes with the territory. There are many people in this country who would have liked one term as President of the United States. He is a lucky man.

And I don't find what he did today the least bit humiliating for him. Instead, he will go down in the history books as a selfless hero. And when all is said and done the final score, head to head, was 1-0 Biden.... by 7 million votes.

As well as the supposed party of law and order that backs a candidate who is a convicted felon, awaiting sentencing.
We should have been bashing Trump for the last month.

There's a month lost.

Now will it be another month lost to shape perception about DJT with swing voters?

Who will be out bashing Putin's puppet while the circular firing squad mess is cleaned up?

If anyone one does, will the biased paid off media report it?

Of will we get more reports about Putin's puppet unity. How the puppet is softening, making him more electable.

Easy to convince red voters seem to have been gobbled the fabrication that the adjudicated rapist has softened his stand on abortion.

Of course I will for the Democratic ticket. But I have no idea who that is at this point.

You're actually not a nobody. You care enough to post on a political messaging board, so you've likely got the motivation to volunteer for a campaign or party. I have never seen a volunteer who was willing to phone/text bank, door knock, write postcards or drive people to the polls ever get turned away by any campaign.

I can truly say, the older you get as a woman, the more invisible you become. Maybe I could do something subversive that nobody will pay attention to because hey, I'm old and female. Your learned advice to me might be?
If you're not interested in putting your efforts to a campaign, you could research the abortion fund in your state to find out what kind of volunteer work they might need. Other options include your local library board, local harm reduction initiatives, dedicated issue campaign and so on. There's always work to be done.

Thanks again for you condolences and kindness about the death of a piece of my spirit. Sincerely, God bless you. TBH.
