(1,058 posts)Elect a gay man. Pete would ruin any chance of carrying Virginia or Georgia. Castro would be the first Hispanic on a national ticket.

(13,013 posts)I'm leaning Buttigieg. He would bring out young voters. Pete would also set the Christofascist's hair on fire.
At the end of the day, I'm grateful it's not my call. I trust VP Harris to make the call.

(34,295 posts)Nice guy, he doesn't have fire in the belly. He's in a super safe seat. He has inside connections to the Texas legislature which assured that every single precinct in his district is Democratic. He rarely has challengers.
He also has health issues.

(10,333 posts)Because the one that had his knives out for him absolutely should not be rewarded with anything and, to be honest, neither would bring much to the ticket. Hispanics are not a monolith and just adding one to the ticket -- especially relatively unknown and unaccomplished ones like the Castro brothers -- will not magically win us the Hispanic vote in all those states.
