(5,058 posts)This whole few weeks clearly was a preparation for all of us for today. When news picked back up with people calling him to drop out after the republican convention, I knew it was over. I think Biden and the other democratic party leaders did this to prepare us.
Still sad but not as mad or emotional as I was a few days ago.

Yes I always thought of Biden as Uncle Joe.
He beat Trump and restored our country.
And one of his Irish lines lives in the isolated West Coast of Ireland, like my family.
The villages are just down the road from each other.
Joe is so like the men in my family, handsome, charming, smart, social.
But they will kick your ass if you push them too far.
But it was time for Joe to move aside and take his well earned rest.
My sincerest wish is that he has the time and space he needs right now.
