Question about maximum political donations
According to the FEC, an individual can donate up to $3300 per election to an candidate's campaign. I've been donating all along to the Biden-Harris campaign, though no where near that limit.
If I donate to the Harris-whoever campaign, do I get a brand new $3300 limit? Or do I have to subtract the funds already given to Biden? Inquiring minds need to know!
(And is there a link to the ActBlue DU campaign for Harris? I like to increase our numbers!)

"Biden for President" amends its FEC status to become "Harris for President"
This means Harris would have access to the funds already raised ($141 million as of May 31). It ALSO means that any contributions you make to Harris count against your $6,600 limit from when you contributed to the Biden campaign.

I guess that we're still operating in primary season, so we can all donate another $3300 after the convention. We tech thousandaires can definitely afford it!
