(28,836 posts)but I think at least a small part of John Roberts might be pleased to do so, if only to rid himself of meddlesome pest Trump.
Trump, with an assist from Alito and Thomas (and, to a lesser degree, the other conservatives), has pretty much demolished the legacy of Roberts' court.

With the Roberts court being so lawless, it might be a nice move to deny Roberts the privilege of swearing in the new President.

So I guess I'll update my imagination to have Biden present when Kamala is sworn in. With TFG nowhere in sight. Again.
