Be ready. There IS a way for Trump to ditch J.D. Vance:

Make up a bogus health problem (for him or his wife or one of his children) and have him drop out so he can attend to it.

The lying will be no problem, but getting him to go along with it might be somewhat problematic.

But his Kremlin boss and kleptocratic handlers are the ones who tell the GOP what to do. If they see he can’t deliver, they’ll get rid of him.

Their plan became obvious in Pennsylvania when the latest “lone nut” was allowed gained access to a rooftop with direct line-of-site view to the podium.

Had Trump not turned his head, the race today might already be over, with every screen you can stare at aglow with unending coverage of the tragic, horrific, irreplaceable loss of Great Leader Pisswig der First 24/7 ad infinitum, with no commercial interruption.

They're mostly based on rumors and speculation, which we should know by now are pretty unreliable.

Vance still checks all the boxes that Trump wanted in the first place. Trump wants an attack dog who can say outlandish things and play multiple sides of the same issues. Vance doesn't really believe in anything, so he fits the bill.

At the time I believed and have posted Vance was a good pick for further solidifying the base, which was the mode Trump was in with a lead and momentum growing.

It didn't matter that he's an abhorrent prick, they had so effectively negatively framed Joe that the "middle" was collapsing on him, so it wasn't hurting Trump all that much. It was just a mud wrestling match with Joe getting choked out.

But, the entire dynamic has changed, and (all of this through no fault of Joe) Kamala has made things much more palatable to "the middle" and Vance being a smarmy douchebag looks more out of place and women and minorities are more in play.

I can't say if he will dump him or nit, but Vance is clearly not as a good a fit today as he was a week ago.

I think they were planning on disposing of Trump if they won and once they were full swing into implementing Project 2025. Without elections they wouldn’t need MAGA anymore and the GOP leaders detest Trump. Peter Theil and his ilk aren’t going to let Trump ditch his guy before they find someone else just as bad, if not worse who is a little less creepy and awkward. They’ve brought their plans out into the open now and are so arrogant, well, they were before Sunday afternoon that they thought they could ditch the MAGA clown show.

JD Vance is the dark underbelly of who they really are. He’s not Trump lite. He’s Trump dark. Trump=bad sitcom with a laugh track. JD Vance=bad sitcom on a black and white TV with the laugh track removed and sinister music added.

It was at McGovern's request but nevertheless he was not removed procedurally. Vance would probably have to be dragged out kicking and screaming, and since he's Peter Thiel's toy that isn't likely to happen at all. Trump and the GOP in general react to badness by doubling down on it.
