I Understand The Assignment

That phrase is going viral in a way I have never seen before on Threads or Twitter. I don't have a Twitter account anymore but would be curious if it's happening there too.
It is people giving a short bio of their life and pledging to vote for Kamala with the hashtag IUnderstandTheAssignment. It is one of the most beautiful and raw sharing of emotions I have ever experienced in my life. It is a phenomenon of unprecedented proportions.
I know if you have Threads you have seen it. It is absolutely filling up my feed. People of Threads have taken to calling it "hope scrolling".

Never, not even at the height of the Obama campaign, have I seen anything like this.

People on social media are literally renewing my faith in humanity.

We. Got. This.
Kamala...For The People. Let's win this!

Odd how phrases in a campaign can occur organically. Tadpole Raisin Jul 2024 #1

Often better than ones the campaign creates but I don’t know about where this one came from.

I really like it.

Just in a couple days how it's grown. I am not exaggerating either, I would estimate that my feed is 70% those posts right now.

A woman in Ohio talked about our lousy republican politicians. She gave her age and said getting rid of them. That's our assignment. Women kept replying I know the assignment. I said, I'm 80 and I know what to do.
