Cats are the absolute best. I don't know why cat haters always feel the need to proclaim that they hate an entire species of animals, who vary considerably and each have their own personalities. I would never in a million years think to say: "I hate dogs!" even though I've had some bad experiences with canines and don't particularly care to have one, ever.

seems peculiarly eager to proclaim their dislike aggressively. Just mention cats and somebody announces that they hate them. It's kind of like when someone says they're a vegetarian and someone gets all belligerent about how nobody's going to take their steaks away from them (although vegans can get pretty intense, too). Don't like cats? They probably don't like you, and if a cat doesn't like you that's a pretty good sign I won't either.
