I hope to encounter some young people who can give me some pointers on using tech and social media to help stomp out the maga movement all together. Maybe some social media that us geezers tend to use could open a forum for young people to mentor us olds. For now, I just read to get info, post in various places to share info, and write postcards to be mailed out the day our state's mail in ballots go out, with labels printed by a local DEM Women group.
The 'kids' are OK and that makes me feel good.

First they hate Jews, then people of color, then gays and lesbians, then Romanians, then women without babies, then trans, then unmarried people, then smart, strong women, then poor people the....and on and on it goes until you have a party of one nut job.

That's why every proposed tax on the wealthy is always called a tax on small business or the middle class. If you want to help the poor, it comes out of your hide not ours and they've made it work.

(439 posts)I have the button I wore on my desk - "If I were 21 I'd vote for Kennedy." Next to it I have the one that says, "I told you so" with President Kennedy's image. I was excited then, young and optimistic. I'm excited now, older and optimistic. I've often said this election belongs to younger generations. I love seeing them run with it! I'm right behind.
