(26,008 posts)a KJP slap, all her own.
Shortly after she replaced Psaki, she slapped down a reporter who asked a suggestive question about voting fraud. I don't recall the exact question, but it implied, without proof, a deliberate manipulation of votes by Dems. KJP responded that it was a $ question, using the exact dollar amount that Fox had to pay for its lies about voting machines. Shut the reporter right down.

Even Doucey's daddy knows the truth.

I wonder how many reporters Nepo Boy here leapt over to get that position.

(2,499 posts)Great response to a stupid question. I hope they pay Doocy enough to compensate for the constant humiliation. As an aside, I always enjoy seeing what KJP is wearing that day. She always looks professional but stylish.

(4,249 posts)... the perennial dead horse that Republicans just can't stop beating.
But there's an awful lot that could be said regarding just how it managed to get this bad. I mean, yeah, there's always been a problem because of the gross economic inequities between the U.S. and Mexico, but it didn't go supernova until that shithead, Reagan, started funding, training, and equipping death squads in Central America with the money from illegal arms sales to Iran. And that backroom deal was brokered while Ronzo was still a civilian, in order to keep the hostages from being released before the 1980 election, thus squashing Carter's chances of a second term. PSSST! THAT kinda shit is a felony! But he's Jellybean Reagan, and we're not, so nothing was said or done. Nixon pulled the same scam in '68 with the North Vietnamese in the Paris peace talks. It's what Republicans do.
Anyway, all those failed states that refused to bend the knee to U.S. corporate interests, and are now being run by savage gangs, are where all the desperate people massing on the southern border are coming from. Funny how Republicans, and the "Librul" media they have on a short leash, never mention those juicy little tidbits.

(15,624 posts)They demogogue about the border.
REMIND them a president (or a VP for that matter) is not a King.
Here's the way it's SUPPOSED to work:
Congress works in good faith in a bipartisan way to craft legislation and fund a solution.
After 4 months of doing their job the bill was derailed with one phone call from a would-be king who didn't want the problem solved on his opponent's watch so he could continue to demagogue and fearmonger the issue.

(450 posts)KJP is tiny but ferocious when she needs to be. It looked like an instinctive move. Like my mom when driving, would throw her right arm across me riding in the passenger seat if she needed to brake quickly. Even did that when I was an adult.
